I don’t know what’s going on here, and frankly, I don’t care. It’s Christmas, dagnabbit, and I hope you’re having a merry ol’ time like these two weirdos!
Thank you for reading along with me this year. 2021 has been a very strange one, full of sudden disappointments and unexpected surprises. I’m so grateful for each of you – yes, you – for giving me a tiny reason to feel a little holiday joy in my moldy heart.
I’m writing this a little ahead of time because I have honestly no idea what my actual holiday will look like. It’s beautiful to have possibility.
I know that it feels like the circle is tightening for a lot of us, so I’m sending hope that you and yours are safe, well and happy. If not – if you are hurting or lonely or just so damn sad and overwhelmed – you’re certainly not alone. And I don’t mean that as some sort of half-hearted placation. I mean if you want my phone number to text me anytime, just let me know. I don’t imagine I can help, but I can listen and love you.
So happy holidays, my babies. Merry Christmas to those of you who celebrate!
