Guys, I have been a little slow at posting this December. Fortunately, I promised nothing and you guys know me better than to expect me to deliver even that much.

The vibes seem to be low this year. It feels like everyone is just getting smacked in the face by the holidays. Everything feels like weird timing and behind, behind, behind.

Apologies to those of you who have been with me from the beginning (BLESS YOU I LOVE YOU), but here’s a quick recap of things the rest of you might’ve missed. A better post is coming tomorrow, I promise. At least this one has playlists (I hear you guys like those.)

From 2020:

• What’s a Wassail 2: Electric Boogaloo - Wassail and eggnog, be still my heart

• Hard Candy Christmas - Christmas candy I was missing

• Wrap, Wrap, Wrap It Up - Wrapping paper and the Christmas Pickle

• io Saturnalia! - Wishing we could be this cool

• Melting Wax on Pine Boughs - Christmas Eve and me being sad

From 2019:

• What the fuck is a wassail? - The first holiday drink dispatch

• Victorian Christmas - Cards, trees, caroling, etc.

• Solstice - fire and lights

• Boxing Day - Something we Americans poorly understand

• Twelve Days - I used the word “merrineum” which I think I deserve more credit for.

Playlists:

• Soft Christmas - NEW soft indie-type songs

• io Saturnalia! - Made for the Saturnalia dispatch… this is a weird one.

• I Have a Little Driedel - Guess the theme?

• Melting Wax on Pine Boughs - music that sounds like it happened in a church

• Here We Come a-Wassailing - Relentlessly cheerful

• Jazzy Christmas - Yes. That.

• To Heck With Ole Santa Claus - Un-Christmassy songs

• Sad Christmas - For the sad bbs

• Christmas - This would be on your radio in the car

• A Different Christmas - Absolutely none of the classics
